2026 AAUW State College Book Sale

The 2026 AAUW State College Used Book Sale returns to Snider Agricultural Arena at Penn State University, located at the corner of Park Avenue and Fox Hollow Roads in State College. The arena sits across Park Avenue from Beaver Stadium at 800 East Park Avenue, State College, PA 16803. This large annual sale runs May 9 through May 12 and offers one of the biggest used book selections in the area, with more than 150,000 books along with puzzles, games, CDs, and DVDs. Shoppers will find more than 30 book categories, including children’s books, fiction, biography and memoir, business and economics, collectors books, cookbooks, history, coffee table books, religion, science, sports, travel, and more. The sale is known for both size and quality, which makes it a strong stop for casual readers, families, collectors, and book resellers looking for depth across many sections. Sale hours are Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. for half price day, and Tuesday, May 12 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for bag day, where shoppers can fill a standard grocery bag for $10. Parking is free, and cash, checks, and major credit cards are accepted. Buyers are encouraged to bring their own bags and plan extra time, because this is the kind of sale that rewards a slow walk through every section. All proceeds support grants for Centre County nonprofit projects that fit AAUW’s mission and scholarships for women adult learners living in Centre County.
