Kent Free Library Book Sale

Friends of Kent Free Library Spring Book Sale runs April 16 through 19 with a huge, well organized selection of more than 25,000 books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, games, and other media. Shoppers can browse titles grouped by subject and genre across more than 90 categories, including general fiction sorted by author, mystery, science fiction, classics, graphic novels, westerns, and a large nonfiction section that covers about 40 topics. The member preview takes place Thursday, April 16 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and memberships can be purchased in advance in the library lobby or at the door for $5 individual, $10 household, and $3 student or senior. The public sale follows Friday, April 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with scanners allowed on Saturday only. Sunday, April 19 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. is the bag sale, with books at $8 per standard paper grocery bag and audio visual items half off. Prices are budget friendly across the board, with most adult books at $1, children’s and teen books at 50 cents, small paperbacks at 50 cents, magazines and sheet music at 25 cents, audio books at $1, CDs and DVDs at $1 per disc, and puzzles and games at $2 or as marked. Special items are priced individually, payment is accepted by cash, check, or Venmo, and every purchase helps support programs and services at Kent Free Library.
